Diabetic

Diabetes, although on the rise, is in most cases, preventable and in some, reversible. Taking steps to prevent and control diabetes doesn't mean living in deprivation; it means eating a tasty, balanced diet that will also boost your energy and improve your mood. You don't have to give up sweets entirely or resign yourself to a lifetime of bland food. Whether you're trying to prevent or control diabetes, the most important thing you can do is to lose a little weight - that's what everyone says - but I would advise to lose fat and gain muscle, i.e. losing 10% to 15% of body fat and gaining same amount of lean body mass. This will allow you to store more glycogen in your muscle and burn more sugar from your fat cells. But this is only possible if you have a proper balance of Macronutrients & Micronutrients in your daily lifestyle.

It's not too late to make a positive change, even if you've already developed diabetes. The bottom line is that you have more control over your health than you think.
